About the project
Convened annually from 25 November to 10 December, Doh Eain’s 16 Days of Activism campaign joins the global movement to eliminate violence against women and girls. Supported by diplomatic partners including the Embassy of the Netherlands and the Australian Embassy, the multimedia advocacy initiative addresses key protection issues, ranging from domestic and structural abuse to online harassment and digital violence. Through educational explainers, visual storytelling, and personal reflections shared across digital channels, the campaign shares practical support pathways, encourages bystander intervention, and sparks civic conversation. Delivered across successive yearly editions since 2024, the initiative mobilises wide public participation to challenge harmful social norms and advocate for safer physical and digital spaces across Myanmar communities.
