Placemaking

Problem Statement

Yangon has one of the lowest per capita public space ratios globally and is increasingly vulnerable to climate change and related disasters. With rising poverty and internal displacement, communities are ill-equipped to address these challenges.

Neighbourhood Networks

Problem Statement

Many communities across Myanmar are incredibly vulnerable. The presence of strong local grassroots organisations is crucial to disaster response and resilience building, but many have limited capacity while being overlooked, underfunded, and inadequately supported by international development actors.

Empowering local grassroots organisations with an HCD approach, flexible funding, capacity building, and networks so they can effectively support their neighbourhoods.

Young City Shapers

Problem Statement

Youth in Myanmar and Asia are vital for sustainable urban futures, but the pandemic and the 2021 military coup have severely disrupted educational opportunities and employment prospects.

Our Approach

Enabling youths to progress academically and professionally, secure employment, and become active in sustainable urban development.
