About the project
Young City Shapers (YCS) is Doh Eain’s flagship youth fellowship programme, equipping emerging civic leaders to design and implement community-centred urban solutions. Spanning 3 to 4 months per cohort, each intensive cycle pairs online and in-person learning with hands-on, neighbourhood-level capstone projects. The fellowship explores diverse urban challenges through specialised thematic tracks, including circular waste management, climate adaptation, disaster preparedness, sustainable mobility, and social inclusion (Zero Carbon, Zero Exclusion, Zero Poverty). Designed to dismantle participation barriers, the programme engages underserved urban youth aged 18 to 35, while actively expanding to include persons with disabilities (PWDs) and cross-border participants. By connecting young people with technical mentors, civic partners, and seed resources, YCS turns grassroots ideas into viable neighbourhood prototypes and builds an enduring community of young urban practitioners.
